Blu Vierge, the artwork of Daniele Basso, becomes part of the art collection of the Cassa di Risparmio di Biella Foundation.

The work "Blu Vierge" donated by the artist Daniele Basso to the Cassa di Risparmio di Biella Foundation was delivered to President Franco Ferraris on 9 November so that it becomes part of the institution's art collection.
> "A donation testifying to the extraordinary collaboration for the summer of 2022 - comments Daniele Basso – when as first president Franco Ferraris, together with the director Andrea Quaregna and the communication manager Federica Chilà, believed in the importance and value of the exhibition "The Pieghe dell'Anima”, concretely allowing my first important personal exhibition in the Biella area, in Oropa and in the various locations in the city. Even more on the 30th anniversary of the Cassa di Risparmio di Biella Foundation… with a work, Blue Vierge, which is a concrete metaphor of the importance of gratitude and restitution as life practices for a better society. An instinctive gesture of the soul, which underlines how art and its messages enter everyday life, inspiring positive and constructive values".

"I am always deeply impressed by the artists' ability to grasp and restore profound meanings through the choice of a few elements such as, for example, in this case the color and the fold of the metal - comments the President Franco Ferraris - this donation by the artist Daniele Basso it is particularly welcome not only as a tangible sign of the collaboration with the Foundation, but by virtue of the deep bond that the Organization has with Oropa. The work will become part of our collection which brings together the works of the best artists from Biella and will be promoted nationally through the site of the R'accolte Foundations. We will place it in the Council Chamber, so that the Virgin watches over the activity of the Foundation".

The artwork is also an ex-voto as a sign of affection for the Virgin of Oropa, created in 2021 for the exhibition Artisti Biellesi per Oropa, again curated by Irene Finiguerra and set up in Palazzo Ferrero on the occasion of the 5th centenary coronation of the Madonna d' Oropa.
