Bimbo Faber Prize awarded to “Biella Cresce”.
Basso and Pirali: “A prize for the sense of community in the Biella area”.
At Palazzo Gromo Losa on June 17th 2022 the first edition of the first Bimbo Faber Prize awarded to the “Biella Cresce” project, withdrawn by the co-founder Valeria Rosso.
The award ceremony as an important meeting moment for all candidates with institutions and the community, to network, to exchange ideas and perhaps imagine new transversal projects for the territory and the future. This is the spirit of the Award that was born between 2019 and 2020, when many certainties were questioned, especially on the economy front. A recognition that interprets the need to "create community" through the award, to amplify the feeling of gratitude towards those who work every day for the common good of their territory.
Daniele Basso is the artist who interpreted this need for CNA, editing the work Bimbo Faber, born for the 50th anniversary of the association, in numbered art multiples. A concrete symbol of the concept of networking and creating communities expressed by people who work and live in the Biella area.
"One of the main objectives of the collaboration - highlights the artist - was to allow CNA Biella to open up to the territory through a gesture that had a strong emotional matrix. A result already widely achieved with the work Bimbo Faber which becomes a prize, as a concrete expression and grounding of the desire to enter society not only symbolically ".
"The award - continues Basso - has guaranteed a remarkable collaboration between extraordinary people who live in this area and who have become its Ambassadors: women and men whom I thank for their availability and commitment. Together with the candidates, the concrete legacy of the award is precisely the community that begins to recognize itself as active in the area. A community put in contact by Bimbo Faber with perspectives, quality and feedback, testifying to a great wealth for the territory ".
The President of CNA Biella Gionata Pirali is also on the same wavelength: "The work Bimbo Faber is a sign of thanks for the 50 years of CNA, in which the association has remained standing working for citizens and businesses. The award derives from the work and gives recognition to the know-how and to the people. It was born from the “Arte, Azienda e Territorio” format of an artist who is very close to companies and to the territory such as Daniele Basso. It is not a question of a prize reserved for artisans, but open to all those who have been reported or have proposed themselves in a spontaneous and transversal way. The Bimbo Faber award is a real multiple of art, numbered and in scale, of the work Bimbo Faber, the artist's first work made of recycled and regenerated marble."
A real work of art to the winner, but above all the birth, hopefully, of a community of motivated people and professionals who care about the future of our Biellese.
