Fieracavalli _ November 10, 2024 VLINT award to Jumping Owners Club owners for the winning horse.

Fieracavalli chooses the art of Daniele Basso
to award the owner of the winning horse of the Italian leg of the Longines FEI World CupTM

The final of the only Italian leg of the World Cup was held on Sunday evening, November 10, which saw the triumph of 26-year-old German Sophie Hinners, the first woman to win - in 23 years of history - the Italian leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM.
On this occasion, Fieracavalli chose the VLINT work by Daniele Basso - an artist recognized as a Knight of the Italian Republic in 2022 - to award the owner of Iron Dames my Prins, today's winning horse, so as to emphasize, once again, the importance of these figures in the growth and careers of the world's leading pairs.

A new world and an extraordinary honour for me,’ commented artist Daniele Basso, ‘to reward the owner of the champion horse at the Longines FEI World CupTM with my work. I sincerely thank Emanuele Anchisi di Scuderia 1918 and Fieracavalli 2024 for this choice. Through art we have the opportunity to bring the values of sport into everyday life. And the VLINT sculpture, born to celebrate the primordial human ingenuity capable of transforming a stone into a splinter and the splinter into a tool, today, in this context, speaks of listening, understanding, empathy, symbiosis and instinctual union between horse and rider... beyond reason... from the heart to achieve extraordinary experiences and results! It speaks of love for animals, respect for nature... of determination, dedication and renunciation to achieve a result... all important values and actions for success in life too! A collaboration that will certainly open up new creative opportunities, with art as the interpreter of a world that is unknown to most, but which has its origins in ancient history and still has many emotions to tell today.’
