"Motherhood" is a thoughtful consideration on the passage from the condition of son to being a father, expressed through mirror polished white bronze. The multifaceted surface recalls multiple points of view, whose complexity is unavoidable and unpredictable at the same time, an all-encompassing emotion which is seen as a threshold, a limit to be overcome through the soft feminine elegance of motherhood, a change in the personal conditions going through the couple and embodied in the new life to be born.
“Motherhood” explores the meaning of life and responsibility in our actions and their consequences, whereby children and our future become the core of our decision-making process, leading us to wonder how to hand over our knowledge and experience so that they are not swallowed by time and be lost, but make the foundations for the generations to come, a stepping stone to move on without forgetting, to open our arms to new things instead of falling back into memories... so that each experience is fruitful, respecting Man and Life itself.
Moreover, the concept of motherhood expressed by the woman’s belly and breasts dates back to a long-standing artistic tradition since prehistoric times.
