"Broken Bones" is a work inspired by a simple intuition of the anthropologist Margaret Mead, when she sees in a healed femoral bone all the care and love that led some men to take care of other men. This is man's first act of civilization. This is what we Westerners have not been able to do in Afghanistan: to take care of others and with them to take care of the freedom in which we live and in which we believe. Thus, the beginning became the end. And today as the Middle Ages advance and the Roman Empire is disintegrating ... we feel helpless, dismayed and weak in our homes safe for a little while longer.

I hope for my son to return to dignity, coherence and common sense as the founding values of the community. I work for a world where taking care of others is a gesture of unconditional love, which you know will be returned to you when needed. I plan a future capable of guaranteeing growth and well-being, in which we can all feel ourselves and be the real protagonists of our life.
