Exhibitions and Events

The VLINT project sculptures are metaphorical splinters of stone, made of different metals (hand-polished and/or acid-treated) that celebrate the primordial human ingenuity that turned a stone into a splinter and the splinter into a tool. They are symbols of man's ability to create a world of objects. They are a reminder to do so with a more mature and conscious relationship toward Nature, which we must safeguard today with respect for life and the environment. They are a project with a highly identity value of the artist, enjoying considerable global commercial success.

In flint lies the first tool in history. Found in Africa. Place of origin of man and Humanity. A splinter, a spear, an arrowhead...a seemingly random and asymmetrical shape...the work is like a small totem reminding us of that ancestral dimension where know-how is not yet everyone's heritage and depends largely on the individual, who reinvents himself every day. An ancestral symbol that straddles the line between something found and the idea of its future use through few but significant modifications. It is a celebration of human ingenuity that led us from the harvest economy to the moon. It is a call to reshape our relationship with nature and resources for a future that is sustainable, circular, and focused on human well-being in the present but especially in the future. Not only for our children, but especially for our grandchildren.
