VERTICAL REFLECTION PROJECT
Through the horizontal and vertical lines this project expresses the human growth process divided in three phases which are all described by shapes, colors and materials.
At the beginning chaos, color and curiosity. Felt bricks, warm and affective, are colored by the enthusiasm of the different personalities that make us unique.
After the need to affirm ourselves become overbearing. Overloaded by information we have to make order through choices. So, in this works rich of contrasts, the felt is joined to the wood that represents our first experiences, painful as beating.
Finally we slowly reach the awareness that the world is neither chaos nor order, rather complexity. Felt disappears leaving the wood alone. The experiences become friends. As sticks of old age to cling to in order to govern our existence.
